Story Hunt
History wasn't made here. Not in my town. This is somewhere history happened to.
Or is it?
Story Hunt is a treasure hunt-meets-walking-tour of your town's many presents: those that have been and those that are yet to come.
Stroll by sights no longer to be seen. Marvel at monuments yet to be raised. Look! That man diving in the river in 1786 is changing the world for us all, now!
History was made here, and it will be made again. You are, we are, all part of that history. And this means that we all, every one of us, can change it.
Written and performed by Daniel Bye
Direction and dramaturgy by Sarah Punshon
Booth design by Lucy Crimmens
Produced by Annabel Turpin and ARC Stockton
Previous Story Hunts:
Originally commissioned by GIFT 2012, the finished version was seen as part of Festival of the North East in Stockton, Berwick and Gateshead, in June 2013:
22 June - Gateshead
26 June - Stockton
29 June - Berwick
In 2014 there were four further Story Hunts:
12 April, Theatre Royal Margate
27-29 June, various times, Royal & Derngate, Northampton
16 August - Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire
13-14 September - Middlesbrough
